Rick Montrose and Josh Montrose, owners and chimney sweeps, include a visual safety inspection with every fireplace, woodstove or insert cleaning. Rick has been a professional firefighter since 1975; therefore, safety is our number one priority. If your chimney does not need cleaned, we will charge only a trip and inspection fee. We are honest, reliable and courteous.
Our prices are very reasonable by industry standards. We are insured and as long-time members of the Better Business Bureau, we have never had a complaint. We pride ourselves in being on time, doing a thorough job and charging a fair price. We do not escalate the price of the cleaning upon arrival at your home because your chimney is too tall or too dirty. Additionally, if we find that a chimney is unsafe to use, we will offer recommendations.
Birds occassionally fall into and cannot fly out of chimneys. Also, an ever-increasing number of squirrels and raccoons are finding homes in chimneys. We recommend bird screen for existing metal caps, or the installation of chimney caps for masonry flues to prevent animals from choosing your chimney as a home.
